Has anyone else become addicted to chocolate in lock-down?

Hey y'all,

How is everyone? Has your world started to return to an adjusted sense of 'normal'? Are you still in lock-down? Have you tackled your TBR pile?

For those of you who haven't yet joined me over on my reader group on Facebook, what are you waiting for? It's about 89% memes, sarcasm and LOLs. It's a great little group where readers can get to know me a little better. It's called, Margaritas, Men and Mischief with Lasairiona.

These last few weeks have been somewhat draining, my friend Chelle (the one hunkering down in lock-down in Ireland for the last three months thanks to the C-word) had to unexpectedly return home to the US which meant we had one day to show here a bit of what Northern Ireland had to offer. We drove around three counties, over three hundred miles and we took her for a wee hike to see Mussenden Temple. We stayed responsible, and most sight seeing was done from the comfort of our car - we almost went to the beach but it was way too busy so we just kept driving.

It was fun, it was so nice to just do something a bit normal. Okay, fine, hiking up a hill and around a GoT site isn't quite normal for me, 'cause: exercise *gag*, however... it was lovely to be outside in the sunshine and not cooped up inside worrying we're all going to die.

As you can see, Lewis was so excited to be out in wide open spaces, too. He's had a bumpy few weeks emotionally, so seeing him this chilled out and happy made my heart soar. Our McDonald's drive thrus have all opened up again and as a special treat we grabbed him a happy meal (after a 40 minute drive and a 40 minute wait). I do my best to support local businesses, but in that moment, seeing his face light up like Time Square was worth every second of the wait.

Speaking of local business, I have a new obsession. I didn't realize I had a deep seeded love for dark chocolate until I found one that spoke to my very soul. I had no idea that in 2011 a little chocolate factory appeared in a village next to my hometown, but as soon as I heard about it I HAD to try it. I've ordered about a dozen times from them already since lock-down started. I've sent treats to friends and family, and as random acts of kindness to strangers on the internet.

Does anyone have the number for chocoaholics anonymous? Yes, these pictures are both orders of my own... OBSESSED, y'all. Anyway, I've ordered from them so much that I got chatting with one of the people who work there and he told me that they ship worldwide, so I'm now taking a moment to pimp out this chocolate. Warning: it's completely addictive! If you'd like to try some luxury, hand crafted chocolate from a tiny spot at the bottom of the Mourne Mountains in Ireland, go here. (This isn't a paid sponsorship, I don't get any kick backs or anything, I'm legit just sharing the best dark chocolate I've ever experienced in my life!)

So, lovely readers: What's your favorite chocolate? Are you a heathen who hates chocolate? If so, what's your favorite candy? In the US I'd say my fave is Russel Stover mallows, and my fave candy has to be hot tamales. In the UK my fave chocolate is Cadburys whole nut or a Wispa Gold with Refreshers as my fave sweetie!

Stay safe and wash your hands!
