Update for 11/11/2022
as Salaamu Alaykum,
My intention with these newsletters is to synthesise beneficial information for you in sha Allah.
Hadith
“Strength is not to overpower people; real strength is to control oneself when angry.” (Related by al-Bukhārī.)”
Reminder
We should think of the blessings and favours of Allah, as a decent and noble person would never act against the One who has been treating him kindly. Only base and ignoble people do such a thing. If we think of the blessings and favours of Allah, we will realise that we should not respond by going against His commands and committing wrong action.
Patience and Gratitude by Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyah
Recommended health product
So a few weeks ago I mentioned how I must have been primed to purchase the LMNT electrolytes (considering they sponsor so many of the top personal development podcasts) and, overall, I was impressed. It is quite expensive in the UK so I started looking for the best, cheaper alternative. I found re-lyte. Similar stuff but you get double the servings (60) for about the same price. They have a load of different flavours. It also serves as a cravings killer somewhat as it is sweetened.

Something I'm trying to improve on
I am spending too much time-consuming information rather than sharing or creating content. I am trying to get into the habit of consuming most of my usual content with a view to synthesising or sharing it rather than consuming it for its own sake. This is especially important as the project is growing rapidly. You may have noticed I have become a lot more active on Twitter, YouTube Community and 60-90 second Reels.
Something unrelated but I found interesting:

Powerful Quote that has "Stoic" Similarities
What can my enemies do to me? My paradise is in my heart, it is with me wherever I go. To imprison me is to provide me with seclusion. To send me into exile is to send me away in the Path of Allah. And to kill me is to make me a martyr.” Ibn Taymiyyah
Note: This was one of the quotes I highlighted when emailing Ryan Holiday because I felt that some reference to Islamic thinkers or even ahadith was warranted in his books considering he argues the core values are "universal". In Stillness is the key, he made reference to "Sufi Islam" *yawn* - It has to be prefaced with "sufi" in the woke circles. Bot saying he included it because of my email btw
One question to ask ourselves
Am I prioritising "virtuous" dopamine or "cheap" dopamine?
Cheap dopamine comes from receiving novelty without struggle.
Good dopamine comes from creating novelty through struggle.

Some quotes from my readings:
Mental models Peter Hollins
Subjecting your perspectives and ideas to peer review and triangulation increases your legitimacy and authenticity. It shows that you’re confident enough to expose your solutions to outside scrutiny and that you have the humility to listen to other opinions and constructive criticism
Destiny Disrupted by Tamim Ansary
To Muslims, everything between Byzantium and Andalusia was a more or less primeval forest inhabited by men so primitive they still ate pig flesh.
Life Leverage by Rob Moore
Most people are brainwashed into thinking that time, work and money are directly related, but millionaires, billionaires and business owners know that they are inversely related. You’re taught to work hard for money, but you need to make your money work hard for you
Profitable Social Media Marketing
The blander your industry, the greater the opportunity you have to win by injecting some personality into it.
James Clear
Your goal might be to run a marathon, but your gateway habit is to put on your running shoes.

Imam Tom Facchine shares a powerful hadith of the Prophet ﷺ on lying.
Imam Tom also references a story from Imam al Bukhari about how he refused to narrate hadith from someone who dangled something in front of his donkey (gesturing that he was about to feed it) before not doing so.
Imam Bukhari said he cannot take from someone who has this trait within him!
