Hello ,
Something beautiful and unexpected reminded me of a powerful truth.
I was simply parking my car and as I stepped out, I glanced behind me and noticed a small tree that took my breath away. It was blooming. Fully, vibrantly, unapologetically blooming.
Now, why is that such a big deal? Because I know that same tree has been completely dry for six months. Not a single leaf. Not a single sign of life.
I live in a country where all four seasons show up faithfully. And from September 2024 till now, that tree had been a picture of drought. But today, it told a different story.
What’s even more interesting is that I looked another tree just a few feet away from the blooming tree and saw that it is still dry. Yes, while one is blossoming into life, another is still waiting.
That’s when it hit me that this is how life is.
We all go through seasons. Some dry, some stretching, some silent. And then, suddenly things begin to shift, doors open, and we see fruit where there was once barrenness. Just like the tree.
But not everyone’s season changes at the same time. You might be standing next to someone who's in full bloom while you feel stuck in winter. That doesn’t mean you’ve been forgotten. It simply means your season is coming.
So if this week, this month, this moment has felt dry — don’t despair.
Keep nurturing your soil. Keep standing. Keep believing.
Because Joy is coming in the morning.
Time will pass, and seasons will change.
And no matter what part of the process you’re in, God is right in the middle of it all.
Smile on. Your next season is already growing.
Until next time,
Olamidotun.
P.S.: Feel free to forward this to someone who needs a little reminder that their bloom is on the way.
Affirmation for the week
“I trust the timing of my life.
My season will come, and it will come right on time.
Even in dry places, I am being prepared to bloom.
I will not compare my journey to others. Instead, I honor my own path.
Joy is rising within me, even before I see the results.
God is with me in every season, and I am never behind.”
