Hello ,
First, say this with me - I CAN do it! My success will be bigger than I can ever imagine!!
Now, I want to ask - How are you doing?
How is the year going for you?
The year keeps running along and I know we decided to chase our goals and make sure nothing stops us this year. We came into the year with the I CAN attitude so of course we may be affected by fear and so many other emotions but we must say no to them.
Especially when you’re even tempted to feel small and less than enough.
Many of your ideas and plans might be in the beginning stage. At this stage, it is tempting to give up because you might start to feel frustrated and like you’re making no progress with barely any step forward.
Let me tell you this - Don’t be deceived to think that’s all it will be. At the beginning, it might seem like just a small dream and very tiny baby steps of progress but I want to remind you that many people started small and felt frustrated at the beginning but they kept pushing and they made a great success.
Personal Story - I know how it can feel to start small and for it to seem small until it becomes a huge success. I am one who wears many hats and many times it felt like a lot of it was filled with small progress. A lot of times it took a lot to stay focused and keep pushing. However, these past few weeks, I got to see so many fruits of not giving up and doing what I love till the success came.
I have enjoyed many proud moments as a Children’s Book Author. A few blessings I want to count -
- My Books found their way into the hands of The Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau.
- I got to meet With Jean Augustine - First Black Canadian Woman to Serve as a Federal Minister.
- I also had the opportunity of receiving an award from Ontario MPP, Stephen Crawford.
All of these were things I couldn’t imagine when I began. When it all looked small and filled with small progress. But here I am now, filled with joy and pride.
My biggest joy and proudest moment was on Saturday, 17th of February 2024. The Book Launch I planned and which started as a small idea, finally happened. It was more glorious than I could have ever thought.
