About twenty years ago, I began to build a resource kit for myself when I began casual teaching, and then I realised just how many ideas and activities I had been using over the years. I have spent many hours searching through websites, searching books for great ideas and activities.

Since then I have created over hundreds of resources that are perfect for helping you to build up your resource teaching kit, whether you are casual, temporary or full time in primary school education.I embrace and thrive on integrating technology in education, and my resources address the changing nature of the 21st century classroom.

I enjoy mentoring and supporting my cohorts through my Facebook, Pinterest , resources and blogs. Once a teacher......you are a learner for life....I hope that I can continue to inspire and support.Teacher life can be amazingly hectic, and with that in mind my resources are created for all teachers of children aged 5-12 in primary /elementary schools across a range of subjects and resource types.I started a support group on Facebook called SURVIVING CASUAL TEACHING and my goal was to be there for people who felt isolated and in need of support. The group has grown, and so this website is a continuation of that dream that continues to live on today.

.As the internet grew, then so did my Relief Teaching Bag of tricks, I had books full of websites and post it notes everywhere whenever I discovered a new one. Clearly this was not the most efficient way to collate all of these gems and so my first book was born. It was called “A SURVIVAL KIT FOR RELIEF TEACHERS”yup there is some kind of theme going on here lol!!

Inspired by the sales from this book I started on the second edition of this book which took on a life of its own. It became huge, with over 570 pages packed with information, activities, printables and games. All interactive and it was all that I needed to have with me on any day of teaching.

Stored on my external storage device it came with me everywhere, and this book alone has sold over 5000 copies. Going with the theme the ULTIMATE RELIEF TEACHING SURVIVAL KIT was created.

I wish you all the best for the rest of the term, and for those of you starting out, please, don't hesitate to reach out and message me via the Facebook group if you need any support. I am happy to post anonymously for you if you have a question and do not wish to ask it yourself. The group is a wonderful resource with an ever expanding files section and a Google drive dedicated to saving resources for you all to access.

I am currently creating a list of suggested websites across all KLA's from suggestions made by our group members. This will be published and sent to subscribers in the next newsletter, so be sure to stay subscribed so that you don't miss this one!!
