WOW - The year is officially half over. It’s been a pretty amazing year for Kimberly and me both personally and for the Team. 

Our son Jason and daughter-in-law Kari from California came to town for Gladys’ 100th birthday, Kimberly’s grandmother. We had a small party at our house and Gladys had a blast. Two of her favorite gifts were getting to watch Adelyn, great-great-granddaughter, walking around. Addy had just started walking on her own the week prior. Gladys also received a box of cash; 100 one-dollar bills linked end-to-end. It took her a couple minutes to pull the nearly 60-foot long strip of bills from the box. Jason then made a video of her fanning herself and making it rain with all of that cash. He’d done something similar with her and a wad of Avon cash five years ago [That video]. Sadly, that day wiped Gladys out and she was just too run down to have her big party with all the extended family and guests, on Saturday. After several days, she was pretty much back to her normal for a centenarian. Thanks to everyone who sent her birthday cards. She truly enjoyed reading them. 

As mentioned last month, Kari is expecting in late-September and while in town, Kimberly got to feel the baby, Olivia, move. We will be heading to Sacramento following the Avon Connect convention in Las Vegas this August and attending the baby shower.

TEAM MuchMoreThanLipstick - That’s all of you!

So far this year, the Team has welcomed 173 new ambassadors, including those who have joined through Carrie’s and Sandra’s teams.

• The Team has made Avon’s Top 100 teams for total campaign award sales several times this year and is currently less than $10,000 is cumulative award sales for the year from being in Top 100 for award sales overall.
• The Team is currently No-55 in the nation for those registered to attend Connect/convention in August. It’s not too late to register to attend live or to watch virtually. Details below.
• Team members earned free shipping on their qualifying orders 41 times
• Across the Nation - The Team currently has ambassadors in 45 of the 50 states.

Individual recognition 

Our current top five sellers in order:

Sandra McMoore (Dayton OH) - Sandra has been an ambassador since 2009. Not only has she seen successes with her own individual team, but has earned recognition as a top 5% seller or better over the years and is currently a Diamond Ambassador, Top 1%. As of C11, she was No-17 in the Nation and No-2 in Ohio for personal sales volume (PSV). For the Fly, Shine, and Connect (FSC) incentive, she finished No-17 in her tier. FSC, the top 10 ambassadors for each of six sales tier C9-C14, will receive $250 credit towards convention.

Kimberly Elam (Dayton OH) - Kimberly has been an ambassador and a team leader since 2011. She achieved Top 10% for sales in 2012, has been a Top 5% or better seller since 2013, and has achieved sales titles as high as the current Platinum Ambassador in 2018. Refocusing on Team building instead of sales in 2019, Kimberly is currently an Elite Ambassador and Silver Leader. As of C11, she was No-93 in the Nation and No-4 in Ohio for PSV. For the Fly, Shine, and Connect incentive, she is finished No-33 in her tier.

Carrie Rowan (Troy OH) - Carrie has been an ambassador 2017 and is a team leader as well. She has achieved recognition in Avon’s top 10% for sales numerous times and is currently a 5-Star ambassador. Carrie finished No-63 in the nation for her tier in the FSC.

Cyndi Aszklar (Metairie LA) - Cyndi has been an ambassador since 2020. As a 5-Star ambassador she has consistently achieved sales in the top 20% and is on track to reach the top 10%. Cyndi finished No-163 in the nation for her tier in the FSC.

Linda Layman (Indianapolis IN) - Linda joined Avon in 2023 and achieved 5-Star Ambassador in her first year. Additionally, Linda ranked No-1 as Indiana’s Best New Performer and No-67 Best New Performer in the Nation for 2024.

Carolyn Harper (Monon IN) - Carolyn joined Avon in 2023 and is currently a close No-6 for personal sales on Team MuchMoreThanLipstick. 

Julia Favorite (Springfield OH) - Team Sandra McMoore – Julia has been an ambassador since 2010 and is currently a close No-7 for personal sales on Team MuchMoreThanLipstick.

Avon Connect (Convention)

Avon Connect will be in Las Vegas 13-15 August. There are opportunities to attend live in-person or to watch segments virtually, either live or replay. Connect includes opportunities to meet other Avon ambassadors from around the country and Canada, hear first-hand new information and Avon news, see new product expo and exciting holiday collections, and live training. Kimberly and I consider this a “don’t want to miss event”. Information gained from convention is VERY helpful as we serve our customers in the last quarter; holiday season sales.
