Personal News

August is here, kids are returning to school, Avon’s convention is just around the corner and the 4th quarter campaign season, the highest sales time of the year, will be here soon.

July rolling into August was a pretty wild ride, Greg had some major dealings working with his mother going through some major surgery and a difficult initial recovery. After nearly four weeks, she is returning home next week to live by herself, just as we kick off a whirlwind schedule that includes four trips starting with the Boston convention, four days later we’re off to California for our son’s wedding, followed shortly by two more Avon related business trips leading into November and the holiday vendor event season.

NEW – C16 Team Incentive: Be sure to get YOUR drawing entry!

Any Team member that has an order during C16 (31 July - 13 Aug) will earn an entry for our Mystery Product Bundle. We will add a different product to the bundle for every Team member that has an order during C16. Any order, online direct delivery or rep delivery, any size. It’s that simple. Drawing will be held and shipped during C18, after we return from the Convention

Exciting Team news - During C15 (17-30 July) Kimberly and Team MuchMoreThanLipstick, that’s all of you, was recognized as Avon 77th top performing team in the US. There are thousands upon thousands of Avon reps in the US and it’s an honor to once again be recognized as a top leader and team in the nation.

Fun Avon Facts:

• Avon’s birthday is 15 Sep 1886, this year Avon will be 138 years old; starting as the California Perfume Company, they began using the name Avon in 1928, and officially changed the company name to Avon in 1939.
• At 50-years old, Mrs. P.F.E. Albee, became the first woman to sell Avon door to door. She is considered the first “Avon Lady” or the first Avon Representative, as we know them today.
• The Avon brand is known by 9 out of 10 people around the world.
• Avon introduced lipstick in 1919. Today, on average around the world, Avon sells 4 lipsticks every second.
• Avon was the first to use Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) anti-aging technology in a product when it launched it’s ANEW skin care brand.
• Avon was the first beauty company to launch an eCommerce site in 1996. As an Avon independent sales rep, you too have your own free personal eStore where your customers can shop allowing you to earn. Many direct sales companies charge their distributors a fee to have an eStore.
• In 2021, Avon.com was the 4th most visited website in the US. 

Avon Connect 2024 (Convention)

This year's convention will be in Boston MA, 21-23 August. Kimberly & I are excited to see the new fall/holiday products, connect with other reps/leaders and learn the latest Avon news and updates. We will be attending live in-person, however, for those who cannot attend, portions of the event will be broadcast live via ZOOM. Be sure to watch your email for information on how to connect and schedules. New Products

Avon continues to release new products including more additions to the Beyond Glow (c17). New smaller sized (1.7 oz) deodorants (c15), Fragrances (c18), nail (c18), jewelry and fashion, and more. Check out Avon’s What’s New brochure, advance preview links on the Team Facebook Group and go to https://www.avon.com/features/new-and-now where you can also find new items not published in the books.

As Avon irons out the loss of their primary manufacturer, new manufacturing has been secured and many waitlisted products continue to become available. Over 100 products are expected to return over the next few weeks.

Representative Incentives

Avon Next - Earn free shipping during your NEXT campaign when you have qualifying award sales during your current campaign. This incentive will run through C17 and may be extended further. So far, team members have earned free shipping over 104 times; that’s over $832 in free shipping! Most only need $100+ in award sales combined during a campaign to earn. Remember, $99.99 will not earn you free shipping.

Fast Track to Success - NEW reps C14-C19 achieve $500+ in award sales during your first five full campaigns and earn an additional $50 bonus. This incentive will run through C19 and may be extended further. 

We will be watching for new incentives to be announced.

Team Recognition - for month of July - SO MUCH TO CELEBRATE!

C14 top five performers in award sales: Sandra M - Dayton OH, Carrie R - Troy, OH, Kimberly E - Dayton OH, and Cyndi A - Metairie LA

C15 top five performers in award sales: Sandra M - Dayton OH, Kimberly E - Dayton OH, Cyndi A - Metairie LA, Linda L - Indianapolis IN, and Latasha S - Alexandria VA (Team Sandra M)

Sandra McMoore requalified for the President’s Recognition Program (PRP) title of Rose Circle ($35,000+ in award sales) and later crossed $40,000+ so far for 2024. She also earned a trip for one to the Bahamas and is on track to earn the trip for two during C16. She’s very much looking forward to her and her husband celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary on the cruise this October. Sandra had one of the highest sales goals of anyone else on our Team necessary to earn the cruise and she attacked that goal with voracity. 

Kimberly Elam requalified for the PRP title of Honor Society ($20,000+ in award sales).

Theresa P - Vandalia, OH (Dayton) surpassed $1000 in award sales for 2024, Julia F - Springfield, OH $2000, Linda L - Indianapolis IN $3000, and Carrie R - Troy OH surpassed $3000.

Birthdays & Avonniversaries

We have many active Team members celebrating this month. The full list is posted to the Team Facebook Group. However, of note - Linda R-S from Kettering OH, right here in the Dayton area, will be celebrating 40-years with Avon. Linda joined Avon in 1984.
