Hi ,

Avon Connect 2024 (convention) was held this past August, in Boston MA. Kimberly and I greatly enjoy attending these events, meeting with other reps and spending time with other Team members when they attend as well. It’s always fun to connect with others from across the country. The event was a week later than normal this year and the crowd wasn’t as big as other events, however, Avon once again did a great job. They did confirm there will be an Avon Connect 2025, likely sometime during the last two weeks of July or first two weeks of August as has been the norm. Date and location are expected to be announced after the first of the year. The crowd kept rooting for somewhere on the West coast, but we will have to wait and see.

Kimberly and I always like to tack on a few extra days to the event and this year enjoyed traveling up to Portland ME via Cuyahoga Falls OH (after our granddaughter was picked up), Scranton PA, Nashua NH and following the coast down to Boston, followed by more coast down through Plymouth MA to Providence RI, Stamford CT, Pittsburgh PA and home; watching our granddaughter again at 6:20am the next morning. As you read this, we’ll be in California along with our daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter for our son’s wedding.

Avon Connect/Convention News & Other

• Here to stay - You may have heard in recent news that Avon Products Inc. (API) had filed for bankruptcy. The Avon Company, aka Avon North America is a separate company and not affected by this news. • New tagline – Avon: The Beauty of Sharing

• Avon Representatives will now be called Ambassadors (Amb). Full details and updated Policy & Procedures coming soon.

• Avon will begin utilizing the “Avon Go” app and push notifications to send out urgent messages such as system outages, etc. If you have the app installed, you can enable notifications via your phone's settings. 

• Reps/Ambs must add their free book to their cart when placing a back office order. You should be prompted to add the book before submitting your order.

• Over 92% on the out-of-stock/waitlisted items are expected to be back in stock by the end of September. Avon’s is diligently working to have the other items available ASAP. Hold ups include; regulatory and materials/packaging supply issues associated with setting up a new manufacturing supplier.

• New more eco-friendly packaging coming soon including kraft paper stuffing instead of plastic bubble wrap.

Incentive Updates

• Fast Track to Success - extended through C19. Any new rep/ambassadors who joined Avon C14-C19, and also achieve $500+ in award sales during their first five full campaigns + the remainder of the campaign in which they joined, will earn an additional $50 bonus.

New products

• There are many new fragrances and other products recently introduced or coming in the next few months. These include new 1.7oz size deodorants in addition to the existing 2.6oz deodorants. Note the smaller sizes are a different fragrance. IE the 1.7oz Wild Country Essence is different from the 2.6oz Wild Country. There are also new skin softeners such as Candid Embrace which is different from the regular Candid, etc.

Milestones:

In C16: Shirley R - Miamisburg OH (Team Sandra M) and Cyndi A - Metairie LA crossed $1000 and $4000 in award sales respectively.

In C17: Linda L - Indianapolis IN crossed $4000 in award sales.

Other Recognition:

Sandra M - Dayton OH - earned the cruise for two to the Bahamas. She will be taking her husband as they celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary.

Adele B - Englewood, OH (Team Sandra M) – Winner of our C16 Team challenge Mystery Product Bundle drawing. The bundle includes over 30 items and is valued well over $250 in C16 actual book price. Any Team member who had an order of any-size during C16 earned one entry into the drawing. C16 was Adele’s first campaign with Avon.

Nicole W - Wilmington OH - Earned the extra $50 bonus in the Fast Track to Success incentive

Kimberly E - Dayton OH, Sandra M - Dayton OH, Cyndi A - Metairie LA, and Linda - Indianapolis IN all earned the free Avon product bundle in the Amplify Your Order incentive by having over $200 in award sales in at least 5 out of 6 campaigns, C12-C17.

Four active Team members are celebrating their Avon Anniversaries (Avoniversaries) in September including Sandra M - Dayton OH who, for this month, is celebrating the most time with Avon, 15-years. Sandra joined Avon in 2009 and has enjoyed many accolades including TOP 100 in various categories.
