Hola from Buenos Aires,
Here are 3 goodies to make your week more impactful.
🥬 Spinach & Kidney Stones
I keep hearing about more and more people passing kidney stones recently.
I’m not talking about old geezers, I’m talking young healthy people.
After I passed a kidney stone in 2016 I learned a TON about them. Specifically, how spinach is the #1 culprit because it’s so high in “oxalate” which forms stones. (It’s okay, I had no idea what oxalate was either)
I wrote this article to share everything I learned — so you can avoid this painful endeavor.
It includes the top foods to AVOID and it may or may not include a picture of my exact stone!
If you (or any loved ones) eat a lot of spinach or almonds you'll especially want to check out the article here.
✅ LNO Framework
We all are busy.
And this is easy to forget… but not all tasks are created equal.
Former Google and Stripe PM, Shreyas Doshi, explains the 3 different types of tasks:
- Leverage: input 1 unit of effort, get back 10
- Neutral: input 1 unit of effort, get back 1
- Overhead: input 1 unit of effort, get back <1
Here’s a quick video explaining his epiphany, and how he now focuses on the few “L” tasks.
Try keeping just a simple chart this week to see where your tasks fall. You might be surprised.
🏗️ Perspective
Here’s the Golden Gate Bridge under construction in 1934.
A beautiful reminder that everything great first starts out under construction. H/t @Historyinmemes
