Greetings from Buenos Aires,
Life is like Jenga.
We never know how strong something can be—until we remove the trivial surroundings (writing, focus, career, etc.).
It also can come crashing down any moment, so may as well play with people you love and enjoy it.
This newsletter is your guide to removing the Jenga blocks in your life.
🐸 Worst 5 Minutes of the Day
Waking up to multiple people telling you the images are messed up in the newsletter. Sorry about that y'all!
⚾🦇 Swings
Everyone wants to LOVE what they do and work on cool stuff...
Few people actually do it.
But people don't find their “things” without taking swings. One of my favorite swing stories is from Caleb Pressley.
Before becoming a top Barstool Sports personality, Caleb was a backup quarterback at UNC.
Yet more than playing football, he LOVED making people laugh.
One day his senior year, he played a joke on a reporter saying he was the team's "Supervisor of Morale."
The next day she printed it in USA TODAY and his fake job suddenly became real.
Creating a new job and career trajectory for Caleb.
We never know what swings will hit. So may as well take a bunch.
Watch this clip of Caleb’s story here.
👀 Noticing
Like a catchy T-Swift tune, this tweet by James Clear was stuck in my head all week.
My most enjoyable “five-minute stretches” are right after my morning runs.
But the most surprising part was how much MORE I e̶n̶j̶o̶y̶e̶d̶ cherished this time.
Simply by noticing it.
🗣️ Quote
French novelist Marcel Proust put it best:
"The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes."
What will you let your eyes notice this week?
Con mucho gusto,
Mitchell
