Are equations actually sticking?
Feb 24, 2026 1:01 pm
Hey teacher friend,
Can I ask you something honestly?
Are equations actually sticking this year… or are students still hesitating on the basics?
Because this is the time of year when little cracks start showing:
• Signs get dropped
• Distributive property disappears
• Variables on both sides suddenly feel “new” again
• Decimals and fractions turn everything upside down
And the instinct is often to assign a giant review packet.
But here’s what I’ve found works better:
Short, focused, repeated practice.
Ten solid problems.
Clear structure.
Immediate feedback.
That’s exactly why I built my Solving Equations & Inequalities Pixel Art Growing Bundle.
Instead of overwhelming students, each activity gives them 10 carefully selected problems targeting a specific equation type:
✔ One-Step (with and without negatives)
✔ Two-Step
✔ Multi-Step
✔ Variables on Both Sides
✔ Equations with Decimals
✔ Equations with Fractions
More are coming soon — including word problems, inequalities, and absolute value equations — and they’ll be added automatically to the bundle at no extra cost.
Each deck includes:
• A digital self-checking pixel art activity
• A printable worksheet with the same 10 problems
• An answer key (just in case)
It’s structured review… without the burnout.
If you’re heading into test prep season and want equations to feel automatic — not fragile — this bundle gives you a clean, spiraled way to make that happen.

One more thing: because this is a growing bundle, the price increases as new decks are added. If it’s something you’ll use this year (or next), it’s cheaper now than it will be later.
