Math Tips and Resources of the Week - FREEBIE Inside
Apr 02, 2023 2:01 pm
Hello everyone,
As we continue with the school year, I wanted to share some math tips and resources that may be helpful for you and your students. I'm going to be on Spring break next week, from Thursday to Tuesday, and I know that keeping my students focused the first three days of the week will be a real challenge. So I'm going to let them play:
"Math War" - it's a simple but effective way to practice basic math facts.
Here's how to play:
- Divide a deck of cards evenly among two players.
- Each player turns over two cards and adds, subtracts, multiplies, or divides the numbers to create a new number.
- The player with the highest answer wins the cards. If the answers are the same, the players go to "war" and turn over another set of cards, with the highest answer winning all the cards on the table.
- The game continues until one player has all the cards or a predetermined amount of time has elapsed.
I will also use several digital activities. As you already know, I like self-checking and no prep digital resources.
FLASH FREEBIE of the week is one of my newest activities:

And the highly discounted product of the week is a digital and printable brain teaser:
I hope you find these tips and resources useful. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Sincerely,
