Hey, Strawberry fans – or should I say ahoy, me hearties!
We welcome a new couple to the Monster Brides series as well as the Walk the Walk family. After four books, Captain Teeth found a lady love who could tolerate him. Sabrina the Kraken shifter swept our captain off his feet at Maude’s Tavern in Walk the Deck (yes, a secret cameo!) but we relive their meeting, parting, and her rage in Hooking Captain Teeth. But don’t worry, the ship’s smoothest character wins her back and they have a double wedding with Chub & Catalina of Quartermaster…kinda…you’ll see what I mean. Unless you ARC read Hooking Captain Teeth and part of me hearty crew. I appreciate it!
Summer in Strawberry is absolutely beautiful. The lush greenery, the abundant produce, and the blue skies against the rolling hills just wait for harvest. Our shifters breathe easy because the Fae’s MayDay parade is over for another year. What happened this year? Find out in The 5th Wheel, part of the Beyond the Veil Anthology (9 books by 9 authors for 99c) in this book fair.
Anthologies must be this year’s bumper crop in Kentucky, because I’ve submitted my piece for the Kentuckiana Romance Writers anthology, Doubling Down on Love. The Ace of Diamonds is my first attempt at writing gritty MC romance but don’t worry it has all the things you love about my books – smart scientist heroine, hero falls first, and scorching spice. All proceeds go to PCAN in memory of our late friend and KRW member, Lisa Tapp.
Next year, I plan on publishing more books than ever. Ten books coast along the horizon between now and next summer. Are you ready? Are you impatient? Well, join me on Ream where you can get access to my book chapters as I write them. That’s right – you will know what happens next before Editor Lill and have the power to comment, suggest, and change the course of my books. What to be more involved? How about I put you on my Yule card list…and even send you a special edition gift? Check it out - https://reamstories.com/marilynbarr
Recs!
Thank you to everyone who purchased tickets to the Lexington Book Bash. Remember, if you’re shut out of the VIP hour, general admission is still available at the door. If you prefer a smaller crowd, I’ll be at the LaGrange Book Fair from 10 am – 4 pm on 8/3/2024. Admission is free at the CityPlace in downtown LaGrange. Not in Kentucky, I’m traveling to Pigeon Forge, TN, for the Extraordinary Love Signing, Huntington, WV, for the Rebels & Readers Signing, and Evansville, IN for the Witchy Market, this fall.
I’d love to meet you in person, but if I’m still too far away, join me virtually. I’d love to see you at the Christmas in July party in the Monster Brides Fans group. On 7/25/24, the Chuchunya will kick off the party at 5pm EST for the rest of the multiauthor Monster Brides. At 830pm EST, I’ll be dropping quotes, sharing the blurb, and introducing you to Tied to Ms Krampus, my first Christmas book since The Spy Who Loved My Russian Tea Cakes.
“Santa’s overrated, for kids far and wide.
But what about adults who want to be spanked and tied?
Toys from St. Nick go to all children,
But what about toys for the women and men?
Because nothing says ‘happy holidays’ like a little BDSM.”
Mic-drop! (Scurries into the curtains with blushing cheeks)
Blessed Be and Let Magic Find You!
