Hey Strawberry Fans!
What is the worst wedding venue ever - haunted house, frozen temple, or what about hell itself? The Monster Brides book series has officially launched with Haunted Hearts by S.C. Principale and Ripples for Skies by Teschelle Combs. I’m so excited for my turn to walk down the aisle next month...and for you to meet Spamato at the top of this email.
Betrothed to the Yeti is an alien romance set on Saturn’s moon, Enceladus. I’ve loved blogging about the science behind the book on the Paranormal Romantics (here). However, Betrothed to the Yeti is just as spicy and romantic as my other monster romances. It is on pre0rder in eBook form on AMZ and paperback form on Barnes and Noble. If you like to write book reviews, I have fr33 copies on Book Sprout too.
I just got back from Sinful Signing in Roanoke, VA. If you are new to the Strawberry Rumor Mill because you joined us at the event – welcome! We have a lot of fun in Strawberry, KY. This weekend the shifter pack is on the road again. I’ll be speaking on a panel about Romance books and the current trends on the market at the Madison County Library Bookfest. This Bookfest is in Richmond KY, and features 60 authors in various genres. The event is free with a book signing and meet & greet after the Q&A panel.
Since I’ve been traveling, I’ve had time to make a dent in my TBR. Below, I have listed some of the newest books by some of my favorite authors. Raven Hush will be joining the Monster Brides book series with her Kraken Romance, so I thought you might want to get to know her writing style in Ruin Club Fray.
Second, on my list of recommendations comes from Beatrice Steam. She writes bite-sized monster romance novellas that are full of heart and humor. Fans of the Strawberry Shifters books will love Slave to the Alien Wolf Monster Prince. It's 10 stories so hot they will blow off your eyebrows.
What am I writing between conventions? I have two projects going concurrently. I’ve started writing Cherishing My Chuchunya (Adam and Patricika’s book). This will be a thick book. I suspect their love story will take more pages than any other in the series. I’ve commissioned Marlene Wynn of Novel Cover Art to make the cover. Hopefully, it will be in the next newsletter. My second project is an anthology short story. The anthology is Twisted, Tentacle Tales, and features many dark romance authors. My story is a gothic riff on the Island of Doctor Moreau where a scientist creates a Cthulhu monster…who captures the heart of the scientist’s young wife. It’s spooky, spicy, and twisted. I can’t wait to share it with you.
If you haven’t been able to meet up with me in person, you are missing out on a Hell of a Husband. This is a new free novella I wrote for the Sinful Book Signing and would love to give it to you as my gift for being a part of the Strawberry Rumor Mill. This month’s contest is a win for everyone! Enjoy the book, I enjoyed writing it.
Blessed Be and Let Magic Find You,
Marilyn Barr
