Hi friend - My very dear 85-year-old dad passed on Friday after a short battle a rare and aggressive sarcoma. After my mom passed in March 2022 from Alzheimer's, it was me and my dad finding joy each day and living life fully. Sundays were our days where we would go out for breakfast, run errands, do things around the house, and do fun things in the community. I am writing this very early Sunday morning as I contemplate going to his house and he won't be there. :-( He was a fun and spry guy that everyone loved. He still worked full-time running a manufacturing plant where he worked for 50+ years. Can you believe that? He was super active in his local Rotary club and did so much to impact his community. Everywhere we went, people knew him and adored him.
Then 11 weeks ago he had a UTI and at an ER visit they found a mass. The medical system was SO slow. It took over a month to find out it was a fast-moving sarcoma. The doctors were surprised it normally develops after radiation, which my dad never had. He led a super healthy life eating organic for decades, taking herbal supplements, using essential oils, staying active. Everyone was baffled and confused. But the system moved too slow and he never had a chance for treatment. I advocated and pushed to get him appointments and testing, but it was heartbreaking to watch this "thing" grow while the system crawled at a snails pace.
So much helplessness .. so much anger we both dealt with.
It was horrible to watch the sudden decline of my dad. I was with him almost every day in those 11 weeks, slept in his room at the assisted living facility the final 4 days, and was with him in the end.
Losing a loved one (human or pet) can bring profound grief. And it is amplified during the holidays.
If you are struggling with grief right now, like I am, may I share a few things that greatly helped me after my mom's passing and are helping me now?
- Essential oils: I created and tested an essential oil grief protocol that really does help. When we smell an essential oil, it goes directly into the limbic region of the brain where emotions (like grief) are stored. The energy of grief also stores in the lungs so deeply smelling essential oils (particularly Frankincense) and getting the oil into the bottom recesses of your lungs will greatly help. Oils have been historically used for thousands of years for many reasons, including to process grief. You can find the protocol here. And if you want to grab my Emotional Release/Grief kit, check it out here.
- Crystals: Crystals vibrate with a frequency that positively alter the water in your body (thank you Dr. Emoto for your research). Pink crystals vibrate with a soothing loving frequency. (Interesting fact: pink on the color spectrum does not really exist, but we can see it because it's a blend of red (strength) and purple/violet (healing) which is the strongest frequency of all colors. So pink strengthens the heart and emotions. Cool, eh?) So grab all of your pink crystals, lay on the couch (I like to watch a Hallmark movie or something uplifting), lay the crystals all over your body and relax into the energy. It really does work. Pink crystals I have been covered with are Pink Himalayan Quartz, Rose Quartz, Kunzite, Rhodochrosite, Pink Aragonite, Thulite, Morganite, Cobalto Calcite, Pink Tourmaline and Flower Agate. If you want to dive deeply into how crystals really work, including a ton of cool sciency explanations, my crystal classes come back in February and I'd love to have you join in. And as soon as you register for a class, you will receive an invitation to join The Crystal Cluster, my exclusive crystal community.
- Angelic healing: While we need to sit with grief and learn what it teaches us, please do not stuff it down, ignore it with busyness, and let it linger. Grief stored in the body will create physical and emotional problems down the road. It stores in the lungs and when I help people with chronic lung issues, the core emotion not dealt with is grief. I teach Integrated Energy Therapy, a powerful yet gentle angelic energy healing method that helps to "get the issues out of the tissues." Anyone can learn this modality and most of my students learn it for self-healing or healing for their family and pets. If you're in the mid-Michigan area, my IET classes come back in January. In the meantime, Archangel Azrael helps with grief and comfort. Call on this Azrael to help release the grief, bring you comfort, and to protect your energy so that you do not take on other people's energy when you are not at full strength. It really does help to ask for angelic help.
- Blending bonus: I blend healing frequencies all the time for increased power. So when I connecting with angelic helpers, I am also diffusing essential oils and holding my crystals. It really does help.
So if you are grieving the loss of a loved one and the holiday season is difficult for you, I hope one of my go-to methods helps you. Grief will ease faster in time if you can support its release with one of these techniques.
Be well, Allie
