I’ve been quiet (for a reason)

Hi ,

I’ve been absent from your inbox for a month.

Not because I ran out of things to say, but because a nasty virus decided to floor me. My grand plans for a high-energy start to the year were replaced by a recliner, painkillers, cough mixtures, tissues and what I now officially call "alpaca season" hair.

While I was listlessly roaming my house, I realised something important about the women I work with.

When the world feels heavy - and yeah, it REALLY does right now - we just let ourselves "slide." We tell ourselves it’s frivolous to care about style when there are bigger problems to solve.

But I’ve come to believe the opposite. It's a radical act of reclaiming your energy.

I wrote a piece about this over on the blog today...

Control the Controllables. Style in an Unstable World

In it, I talk about:

  • The "sloppy trap" and how I stopped falling into it
  • Mental load when your chores (and your style) start to slide
  • Starting small to beat the inertia.

If your style hurdles have been sitting on your to-do list for too long, let’s knock them over together lovely!
