I drove across quite a bit of country this week: Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, and North Carolina. Spring was in full bloom, with fields of gold, lush green hills and signs for small towns with exotic names. I wished I had more time to explore, but I had places to be and books to read and write.
