Revisiting the Beguiling Bachelors
On the Double Dare Front - One series or Two?
Happening Now - Brit Poe Rules!
Stuff I Love - Bests, Tops and Favs
Hey ,
Confused? Usually, I email every other Monday, but you didn't get an email from me on August 31st, and now you are getting this one on Sunday instead of Monday.
Why skip a Monday? Simple. August had three Mondays, but I didn't want to email too often, and twice a month seemed about right.
Why today instead of tomorrow? I don't want anyone who creates content—social media, blog posts, newsletters, and of course, books—to miss out on Brit Poe's live version of her amazing class, starting today! Learn more in the "Happening Now" section today.
Thanks for indulging me in a little confusion. I'll get back on track soon!
So, I have been living with the concept of a double dare series for more than a year, but this week Kelly - the world-famous assistant behind Authors Write Hand - suggested I make it an eight-book Dare series and a second 4-book series for the non-Crazy dare participants? What do you all think of that idea??
As always, I write books so that each can be read standalone, but where the experience will be enriched by reading the series. These would be no different. In fact, there is some overlap between the Beguiling Bachelors and the Crazy Eights.
I wanted to let you know that my wonderful biz buddy and mentor, Brit Poe, is holding a live round of her bestselling program Author Platform Content Toolkit in September.
I think Brit rules! When she offers anything, I jump on it. Maybe you've heard me talk about her Wow Worthy Website course I recently completed, or perhaps her Epic Annual Success Plan.
Brit is my go-to for all things authorpreneurship - I love the way she presents everything—it’s all about the action taking, right?
Anyway, I’m not here to just ramble on about how incredible Brit is! I’m here to tell you that she's about to revamp her plug-and-play author platform content program and is celebrating with something totally fun! Full details are below, but first...
So, how do you create author content that reaches your readers without overwhelming you?
The answer? You find a full step-by-step system created by someone who knows what they're doing! Enter Brit via her Author Platform Content Toolkit. While the Toolkit is always available, starting on September 13th Brit's holding a LIVE round to celebrate her extensive updates! She's calling it the Author Platform Content Intensive and it's only $37!
During the Intensive, you'll get full access to the course material you need to create your author platform content but also extra special bonuses just for the live round.
I'll add a bonus of my own too, that's how much I believe in Brit and her transformative skills. Sign up for Brit's course and I'll send you a link to my time-travel novella, Broken Time.

Someone sent me a link to this blog post "My Top Ten Romance Movies" along with the comment that they hadn't seen the majority of the movies. Why send it? She wanted my opinion of the films and whether I would recommend she watch them.
This brings me to the stuff I love. I am a complete sucker for 'Top Ten' and 'Best of the Year' lists. At least Lori Weitzner included the word "my" in her title. Because of course, the value of these lists depends on the value of the opinion giver.
For example, as a Chicago girl I grew up with a choice of movie reviews from the Sun-Times or the Tribune. The late great Roger Ebert was my go-to reviewer because I learned early that if he liked a movie, I probably would too.
Gene Siskel, on the other hand, was a completely unreliable source for me.
In the case of this email, so was Lori Weitzner. With the exception of "Love Actually," her top ten would not be mine. But it did get me thinking about my lists, my favorites, my stuff I love. If you read my Tuesday blog posts, watch for more listicles (list-articles) going forward. I am excited to share my bests, favorites, and tops and finding out how they correspond with yours. I hope you'll drop by once in a while and let me know if I am your Ebert or Siskel.
Stay safe and happy reading,
