What Excites You?

Hey , 

It's Monday - funny how they keep coming around, always too soon. But that means it's time for an update on the Crazy Eights, the Bacehlors, things that excite you and romance.

Now that you feel like you know my wonderful group, the Crazy Eights, heroines of the Double Dare series, I've gone an changed their names. See tomorrow's blog post for the insanity of naming characters.

Eliana is now Sofia, Cassandra has become Sydney and there are more designed to frustrate and confuse. Why? The stupidest of reasons, actually. Too many names ended in 'A.'

Not anymore - although a few still do.

The problem with revisiting a book, to revise, to edit, or retitle, is that it opens the floodgates. I set out to do an edit, now I am revising cover art too. I set out to change a title and change a character name or two along the way,

Good news, it hasn't slowed the work down a bit. I am working on Avery revisions and Sofia (Eliana) is in proofreading. I am working launch plans at long last. Watch for more soon.

On the Beguiling Bachelor Front

This week I notified Galatea that I will be taking the Bachelor series back from them so that I can rerelease it on Amazon (and other sites). My editors have sent their feedback and I will work on revisions in December. I hope to relaunch the series in time for Valentine's Day.

What excites you?

No! Not that. Even I know not to pry into your privacy!

What excites you about book launches? Contests? Quizzes, giveaways, swag? Does being an ARC reader thrill you?

I mentioned that I am thinking about my book launches, and one of the things i love about a launch is the fun to be had. Sure, it's all about getting the word out. No author writes books so that no one reads them, and I am no different.

The more people who discover Madison Michael books during launch weeks the better.

So, my brilliant assistant and Kelly have started brainstorming ideas to make launches fun. We have discussed cool logos for the Crazy Eights, swag from coasters to the glasses that sweat on them. I am playing with a quizz to see which Crazy Eight you most resemble (and which hot hero is most to your taste). We are gatheing givewawy and contest goodies. This is so much fun.

After all, launch weeks are getting closer every day!
