What to Read Next: Volume 32

Hey ,
Here in the US, we are celebrating Independence Day this week. I love this holiday, full of food, friends and fireworks, but I admit, I rarely think about what we are celebrating - America's independence as a nation.
I should appreciate it more. Our forefathers created a constitution, standing up to one of the most powerful men on the planet and proclaimed their independence. It took balls.
While the scale isn't anywhere close, independent authors stand up to big publishing companies, proclaiming their independence. It too takes strength, to write, publish, and market our stories on our own We are lucky when other indie authors have our back.
So today, as we approach July 4th, here are some romance authors whose back, I have. I hope you will explore and appreciate their work.
Ready for Your Heart by Heather C. Adams
Their secret could ruin everything, but living without each other one more day would destroy them. Blade and Avery's story continues. Is love really enough? Avery: What am I doing? I must have lost it. Yep...I've gone crazy! But I don't care...I can't imagine another second without that man. I've never done anything so irrational in my life, but I'm just going to go with it...follow my heart...for once! What could go wrong? As long as we're together...
Blade: I've waited eight long years to hear her say those words. If this is not a dream, I promise, on my life, I'm going to do everything in my power to make that woman feel loved, feel adored, feel like she never wants to leave! It's not going to be easy, especially now that Liza's hot on my trail, but I know, we can make anything work as long as we're together. Right?
Her Declaration of Independence
by Poppy Parkes Betsy Madison just got broken up with and is looking to make a fresh declaration of her own independence. Studly firefighter Jamie Banner is looking for a change of pace in Milltown. When they meet, fireworks are guaranteed. The only thing I like less than the Fourth of July is my ex, and good riddance to him. I gave him seven years of my life, and in the end he gave me an eyeful of his cheating ass in my bed with some brunette. Said he wasn’t ready for long term, that he needed something explosive. I hope the fact that I had a moving van and team at the house within the hour, moving his shit the hell out of there, was explosive enough for him. This year, I’m celebrating the Fourth by making a fresh declaration of independence to bring me back to life after seven years of gathering dust on the arm of a guy who didn’t deserve me — or, hell, even want me. When firefighter Jamie Banner walks into my life, I know exactly what I’d like to do with him. And it’s not exactly ladylike . . .Happy 4th of July!
Not by the Playbook: A Fake Relationship Football Romance by Ivy Hunt
What do you do when the witness to your one-night stand turns out to be your potential boss? There are consequences when you stop following the rule book.
Rule #1: Don't celebrate your new job before you have it. Especially not by having a one-night stand with a star quarterback.
Rule #2: Don't sneak out of said star quarterback’s bedroom the next morning.
You don’t know who you might run into in his kitchen.
Rule #3: Don’t lie to your potential boss.
Definitely don’t tell her the quarterback is your boyfriend.
Most important rule of all—don’t fall in love with your fake boyfriend.
TB #1 Too Much Like You by Tylor Paige
Jimmy: Three months. That's it. Do the stupid legacy tour with my bastard brother and pick up the check at the finish line. I just have to focus on the end goal and stop worrying about everything around me. You know, like getting caught sleeping with my band's bassist, or rather, my best friend's boyfriend.
Dallas: Stuck with the ice queen for the summer. Joy. My twin sister is hiding something. I know her better than she knows herself. She can't keep whatever she's lying about to herself forever. Maybe I can make this tour a little more interesting. You know what? We've been looking for someone to play with us for the tour. I think I may have just the person. What do they call him again? Oh yeah, GP.
Jimmy is determined to get through this tour with her head and heart intact. As long as she focuses on the music, she can avoid any drama. She wasn't prepared for her brother's new bandmate, GP, or as he calls himself, Guilty Pleasure. His jade eyes are hard to resist. It's almost as if he was designed just for her. A little fun with him won't hurt, will it?
