Hello darkness my old friend...
While I love the song, I hate the shorter days, don’t you? The chill seeps into my blood around four every afternoon and all I want to do is crawl under a blanket with cup of tea or hot chocolate and a great romance read. Oh wait…that doesn’t sound bad at all! Bring on the dark!
I have been plotting out the next several Double Dare novels and fleshing out the Crazies and their supporting characters a bit more in preparation for rewrites on book two. In a series of this magnitude, I need to know what will happen in book ten if I want to foreshadow it in book two. This is new and very challenging for me, but hopefully it will be worth it for you as a reader.

Who doesn’t love shopping? And while some people find shopping for gifts, I take a leaf from my dear friend Diane, and shop all year, buying gifts when I see them, not when I need them. That means when the holidays roll around, I can just reach into my gift box and start wrapping.
Another holiday shopping stress reducer for me is to make donations in lieu of a gift. This year especially, your local food bank, pet rescue and homeless shelter would benefit more than Uncle Jim would from a new pair of socks. Or, if you must buy socks, or any other gift, consider making purchases from a company like Bombas, that donates a pair of socks for every pair you buy.
And please, consider shopping local this holiday season to help keep your neighbors and friends employed!
