.
Hi ,
Oh my how is your world?
Seems not all continues to be intense - even overwhelming?
The myriad of challenges I have heard that it seems we all are experiencing - including in my life - and no doubt in yours, are challenging to navigate.
Just yesterday as all was getting too much I realized my only sanctuary if even for a moment is the inner peace I connect with in my mind and even my body.
And so right in the moment I realized I need a break here!
So as I drove to an appointment that was causing anxiety I counted the length of my breath - 4 in and 8 out, then 6 in and 10 out - and yes it gave me some peace of mind.
Plus it gave me a focus and settled me down and comforted my nervous system.
(PS breathing out longer than breathing in, is an effective mode to relax)
For your inner world, when life feels like its too much, settle into your own sanctuary - connect your mind with its own inner peace.
Some ideas below - we know these - we are being called to practise and connect with our own inner sanctuary of peace.
- Start by placing a hand on your heart and really connecting there, then...
- Take 10 deep breaths, counted easily with your fingers OR
- Focus on parts of your body sequentially from feet to head and say in your mind ... 'relax toes' etc. - even this, to get to the head can be a great way to enhance focus and your inner peace OR
- Close your eyes to follow your breath and listen inside - just watching the thoughts go by like clouds - they come and they go
Utilize these practices, build your skills, reinforce those inner peace neural pathways so they become stronger.
It may not be getting easier out there though with the power of our mind we can create inner peace.
Be the beam of love and light in your world that is your true nature.
