May has arrived, , and here’s what I’ve got planned. I’ll be taking a trip to see my family this month, so I may not have as much art to show but we’ll see what I can put together. This month has a bit of a Western theme, and I’ve come up with a couple of ideas.

Riley/Slim Character Feature

This character is very dear to me. She was my first Red Dead Redemption 2 character that I roleplayed. She’s gone through a lot of struggles in life, losing many close friends and family, and constantly dealing with mental health challenges. Over time, she’s learned to turn the heavy burden of revenge into forgiveness. Most importantly, when it comes to her loved ones, she’s “ride or die.”

It’s been a while since I’ve drawn her, and I really want to experiment with bringing her back into the spotlight. I’ve been working on a lot of fan art lately, but I want my original character to step forward again.

Landscape Commission Piece

My next piece will be an art commission. They gave me references of forest streams and cowboys and such, so I think I might focus on making it more of a background study. Below are some reference images I’ll use for the piece I think they're envisioning.

I think the warm tones, paired with mist in the background, bring out a very peaceful country vibe. Maybe I’ll add a silhouette of a character or animal in the foreground, but we’ll see what direction they want to take. I’m really looking forward to this one!
