Hey !

My, after releasing four new books last month, November feels SO peaceful. I have some quiet time to write and read, and I love it.

Well, okay, I'm loving everything apart from the fact I'm sick with some kind of virus that's making me cough my lungs out. I had to move a highly anticipated tattoo appointment because of it, and that's definitely making me grumpy. On the plus side, I can now lounge in bed with my laptop and slowly explore Scarlett's and Jack's story in Wed to Jack Frost. Which I'll tease you with shortly.

Wed to Jack Frost

This is a Christmas standalone in the Arranged Monster Mates series (see all AMM books here). Guys, I can't believe we'll soon have 12 books out in this series! They are all standalones, loosely connected by the dystopian world and the institution of temples matchmaking human women and monsters, written by me, Eden Ember, and Cara Wylde. Most of the books are novellas, though my latest book, Wed to the Lich, was more novel-sized, and the Christmas one will be, too.

Wed to Jack Frost tells the story of Jack, one of the youngest sons (at 54, mind you) in the Frost clan of furry, betailed, beantlered monsters living up in the snowy mountains - and Scarlett, who suffers from violent tendencies and a deep mistrust of men. Both of these characters have serious reservations about becoming a loving married couple, which is why they need a longer book to fully resolve all their issues.

Writing their journey is so much fun!

Due to Jack's nature, there will be plenty of really cozy intimacy, such as fur brushing and knotting cuddles, as well as tail play. And Scarlett's dominant nature will really shine once she feels safe enough, resulting in some hot pegging.

The book comes out December 6 and is available to preorder on Amazon. Get it now so it lands in your kindle first thing!

Layla's writing and reading

I'm working on Wed to Jack Frost and about 30% in (hopefully - my books tend to become longer the more I explore them). I have another project started, and that's a free bonus story, also Christmas themed. It will be full of the spicy hotness accompanying the first Christmas of Jack, Harlow, Caden, and Silas from my dark RH romance Ghosts of Halloween. The story is my Christmas gift to all fans of the series, and once it's ready (sometime in December), I'll send you a download link. So stay tuned!

As for reading, I'm slowly making my way through the Boys of Bellerose series by Tate James and Jaymin Eve, and I'm on book 3 now. In the meantime, I've listened to the Moth audiobook by Lily Mayne (which is a masterpiece. Charlie's voice is pure unadulterated hotness) and read the Christmas bonus story for the Monstrous series that I got for free from Lily Mayne's website.

Once I'm done with Bellerose, there are two high-priority books on my TBR: The Sight of You by Ashley Mack (whom I haven't read before, but I love her TikTok reviews, so I'm 99% sure I'll enjoy the book) and an ARC of Prince of the Undying by Karen Kincy, which is up for preorder here and comes out in January. It's a dark necromancer romance, okay? Don't walk, RUN.

What to read for Thanksgiving?

Here I am, my head full of Christmas vibes, but there's still one major holiday along the way! So let me just remind you I wrote this totally outrageous, unhinged, laugh-out-loud Thanksgiving hit, Full Sack. It's in Kindle Unlimited and just the PERFECT read to get you in the holiday spirit.

(Lol. Or not. Fair warning: you might hate me after you read it.)

So, that's all from me today! I hope you have an amazing weekend, and I'll be back next week, teasing you more with some future projects.

Stay safe and horny!
