What a beautiful day, !

Wed to the Lich is officially live on Amazon and available to read for free through Kindle Unlimited. If you preordered, it should have already landed on your Kindle (it is on mine!) and if you waited to read it on KU, now's the time!

If you're interested in physical copies, the paperback is already live and available to order. I should be getting my copies soon!

Read Wed to the Lich

And here is my favorite artwork depicting May and Virgil! Aaaaah, aren't they so swoony? 😍

Also, I couldn't help but start rereading this book when it landed on my Kindle this morning. (I know, feels a lot like, um, self-love to do that, but this book is special to me. I wrote it because I haven't found anything similar to read, and I just desperately needed to read a romance like this!)

So here is an excerpt I want to share with you, because it just conveys those vibes so perfectly!

(TW for this excerpt and the entire book: body dysmorphia, body image, eating disorder)

“You’ll be here when I return. Will you?” he asked, and for a moment, I thought he was uncertain.

“Of course,” I answered. “Where else would I go?”

He nodded, not looking at me, and clasped his hands in front of him, thinking. Finally, he looked up, and I gasped softly. His eyes were no longer blue, but a light, warm orange.

“May I kiss you before I go?”

I didn’t answer him at once. My mouth went dry, and my heart thumped so hard, I was afraid it would bruise me on the inside. I just stood there, frozen, looking at the creature who was my husband. Who had rights to me now.

To my kisses, to my body, to my everything.

Before, I didn’t fully comprehend what it meant to be married. He was so kind, and touched me in ways that were friendly or caring, and now…

My heart hammered, and my insides twisted when the voices surged in my head like a crescendo.

Ugly. No one will ever want you. Who would touch this fat body? Who would look twice at your disgusting plump face?

I was silent for too long, my body’s violent response and the buzzing in my head distracting me.

“You can say no,” Virgil said quietly, the glow of his eyes dimming until it was almost extinguished. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to…”

“No!” I interrupted, taking a step forward.

If you want more of that, you know what to do! Grab Wed to the Lich right now and enjoy a monstrous romance novel with impeccable fall vibes 🖤

And just a reminder: the trigger warnings for this book include eating disorder, body dysmorphia, and wild animal death. If you want to know more about the TWs, reply to this email, and I'll be happy to answer your questions. Don't be shy, a few readers already reached out to find out more details about the potentially triggering content. I want you to be safe above all else! Seriously, if you're concerned about any of these triggers, just hit reply and ask.

And with that, I say my goodbyes and hope you have an amazing day today! I'll be back soon with more news, and for now...

Happy reading!

~Layla
