I woke up in such a great mood today and I'm itching to share it! Here, take a huge portion of my wonderful vibe. Let your day be filled with joy and positive energy!

Recently Cara (Wylde) told me she's having chocolate pancakes every day, and man, was I jealous. So yesterday, I fried a huge heap of pancakes and had some, and there were enough left over for today's breakfast. So the joy I'm feeling might just be pancakes 😂

Anyway, back to today's topic. Cassie Alexander's addition to the Monster Security Agency series, Guarded by the Spider, is live and available in Kindle Unlimited! I already bought it and it's waiting until I'm done with Iron Flame by Rebecca Yarros (which is so excellent - WHY did I wait so long to read this series?!)

If you don't like spiders, I understand perfectly. I don't like them either - or, to rephrase, I like them just fine from a distance^^ But if they get too close, NOPE. That said, I already know I'm going to devour this book. Cassie is an exceptional writer, and if you've been following my emails for some time, you'll probably remember how I gushed about her book, Bend Her.

Now, you're in for a treat, especially if you're a mainly KU reader. This is Cassie's FIRST Kindle Unlimited book - so an excellent chance for you to get acquainted! And with that final book, we closed the first round of Monster Security Agency books. But don't worry, more are coming! Due to our tight schedules and the length of the books (because there's no way to cram a good romance and action into under 100 pages) we had to space out the releases. Round two will be published in July, and we've already decided to do a third round in October! But that's a secret for now.

And I forgot to tell you...

In December, I gushed about the necromancer romance Prince of the Undying by Karen Kincy and I promised to remind you once it was live. Well, it became available in Kindle Unlimited on January 13!!! And I'm only telling you now - I apologize. There always seems to be so much to put into an email, and I definitely don't want to run on for too long.

But this book is SO good. It deserves all the space in my newsletter, so here it is. It's an alternate history romance with a forbidden love trope, beautiful world building, a gripping plot, and a delightful MMC who reminds me so much of Astarion from Baldur's Gate 3 (powerful, scorned, elegant, and he just needs a hug once you get him to crawl out of his hard shell).

My current WIP

And I've just started working on Devil's Deal: A Dark Fantasy Romance, which comes out in June. I've changed the cover for this book YET AGAIN because I couldn't quite get the vibe that I wanted. This is the one, though. It's perfect and it matches what I have in mind for this book to a T. See for yourself.

Gorgeous, right? This is a dark fantasy romance with a fantasy setting, heaps of Slavic folklore filtered through my imagination, and an epic romance between the devil and a witch. The darkness comes from the world building, action, and romance, but there won't be any non-con in this book. (I know "dark" means "non-con" for some, so I thought I would clarify that.) It's just two powerful characters fighting to see who comes out on top while they slowly fall for each other.

This is also Jaga's story. You might have met her in some of my previous books. Currently, she's powerful, irreverent, and a total boss bitch - but this is her origin story, and she starts out mortal and inexperienced. It will be so fun to follow her as she discovers the world of magic and becomes the first mortal to... OK, no. That would be a spoiler.

Anyway, this is on my current agenda. In March, I'll switch to writing Wed to the Basilisk, which I'm so excited about! It starts off with the MMC killing the FMC's abusive ex. Check it out here.
