I hope all of your new years are off to a good start and you are following through on your resolutions. Mine have been to try to worry less about my mistakes at the bridge table and to really make sure to do a little bit of exercise every day. I'm not sure I've been better with that at the table, but my short daily walks once I finish the day's work have been lovely. Our nearby mountain just became snow-capped today.

Besides that, I've recently been playing a lot of casual card games with my kids and their friends. I've been thinking of which casual trick-taking games could be a nice gateway drug game for non-bridge players. If you have any games you've found success with for introducing trick-taking to friends or family, I'd love to hear about them!
