Sep 15, 2020 12:51 pm
Hi ,
I'm so happy to see how many from all over the world have registered for Wednesday's free online lesson with Jack Stocken! It's such a joy having us all gather virtually to learn together.
Quite a few folks in North America (who will be asleep during the live event) have asked about viewing a replay. I will be sure to send you all a replay later in the week.
Keep an eye on your inbox tomorrow - I will send out an email with a link to the livestream shortly before the livestream begins (9:30am BST / 6:30pm AEST / 8:30pm NZT).
Would you mind forwarding this email to any friends who you think might enjoy the event?
Everyone who registers will receive links to view the replay and to play a few of the hands featured during the live lesson:
Free Livestream with Jack Stocken
September 16, 2020 - 9:30am BST / 6:30pm AEST / 8:30pm NZT
"I heartily recommend Jack Stocken.....clear and correct and very watchable (learnt a few things myself .. !)"
Zia Mahmood - World Champion & Bridge Legend
"Jack Stocken is a bridge teacher, par excellence, as many will testify"
Andrew Robson - UK's No 1 player
Some more details from Jack about what he has planned for us:
"I will discuss and play three interesting hands with the viewers, drawing on 20 years experience as a bridge teacher. The free lesson will last for about 45 minutes and is suitable for all bridge players. The hands will include a fun slam hand, a weak two opener and the trickiest bid of all, responders rebid.
I am hoping that you will find the hands both instructive and entertaining. Viewers can ask questions during the livestream and also view the lesson in replay."
About Jack Stocken
Jack Stocken has established himself as one of the country’s foremost bridge teachers; renowned for his patience, clarification of teaching and most important of all, making bridge a fun game to learn. Jack started teaching bridge in 1999 at The Andrew Robson Bridge Club where he worked as the club’s manager for seven years. He returned to his native Yorkshire in 2006 where he started “Yorkshire Bridge” and now has regular classes in Harrogate and Helmsley. Jack also teaches groups at private houses and has taught in several other counties. His bridge teaching is in the same style as at the London Club, with an emphasis on creating a friendly atmosphere and enjoyment of the game.
Wishing you all the best. We'd be so happy to see your name come up in the chat tomorrow. :)
