How could you bid 7NT?!?! - with Curt Soloff

Hi ,
Some auctions are just so beautiful in illustrating the conversation that partners can have during the auction. But when slam looks like a possibility, the pressure rises and it can feel scary knowing that so much depends on if we are communicating well.
Curt Soloff shares with us the rare monster 7NT hand that he played in a recent tournament. Join us as he guides us through this wonderful auction.
Barry Crane said, "You should be able to count 14 tricks before you bid a grand slam."
What do we need to know from partner before we bid slam? What information could give even us the confidence to bit 7NT?
How would you have bid this hand? Leave a comment or question here: https://youtu.be/V5xo1tIWSgM

When we go active (or attack, a term used interchangeably), what exactly are we doing? What type of lead do we make, and why are we taking this approach? How do we know that it is best to go active on this particular hand? In short, we are worried about tricks going away if we don't express urgency to take them.
