Hi ,
I was reading a New Yorker article this week about learning something as an adult; I loved this passage:
"...I’d sort of forgotten the youthful pleasure of moving our little tokens ahead on a bunch of winding pathways of aptitude, lagging behind here, surging ahead there. I’d been out of touch with that sense of life as something that might encompass multiple possibilities for skill and artistry... [T]ry recalling what it felt like to learn how to do something new when you didn’t really care what your performance of it said about your place in the world, when you didn’t know what you didn’t know. It might feel like a whole new beginning."
Isn't that lovely? It articulated to me of how enjoyable this continued learning we experience in our lessons and at the bridge table is for the very adventure the learning itself provides!
I'd like to keep current promo open for another day or two just in case any of you have been on the fence. It's been so nice seeing how many new learners have joined our classes recently and we'd love to welcome you as well. Whether your goal is to improve your results or simply for learning's sake itself, you'd be most welcome and in good company.
