April Fool's jokes from beyond the grave

Ghosts that put glitter on ceiling fan blades
April Fool's Day is one of my favorite holidays. I love practical jokes. Like the time I put a tub tint in the shower head so my cousin had a pink shower, or the time my brother made a Christian Rock station on my Pandora account and renamed it "Sheryl Crow" so I was manually skipping "praise him" songs for weeks before I figured it out. And then there's the classic, bringing in a Krispy Kreme box that contains, not donuts, but fresh cut vegetable sticks. Ah, good times.
I asked my friend if she'd want me to reach out from beyond the grave if I died. She said no, that would frighten her. Then I asked, "what if it was something subtle, like messing with the thermostat so you kept blaming your housemate?" She replied, "Wait, are you already a ghost?"
As I may have mentioned before, I'm a little obsessed with ghost stories. I love firsthand accounts of the paranormal. They scratch the same itch as true crime, but they don't scare me like tales of psycho stalkers do. Even the angriest ghosts rarely do anything more than knock on walls or pull sheets off your bed while you're sleeping. It's kind of a shame that most of the ghosts bent on vengeance against the living stick to tired tropes like knocking on walls or writing ominous messages in blood. It seems like a wasted opportunity to loosen the lid on the salt shaker or put saran wrap over the toilet bowl.
If you have any true ghost stories or fun pranks to share, I always love to hear from readers.
