Another one opens

I'm relieved that I finally got Wyvern's Sigil finished and set up for publication. I'll have to manually publish the paperback, but everything else should be ready to go like clockwork on February 25th. If you haven't had a chance to preorder it, here's a link to find your favorite platform.

One of the best things about publishing a novel is that I can finally start to work on the next one. I'm not really a dabbler; I finish one project before I begin another one. The creative energy I haven't been using to write has spilled over and I've done more painting recently, but I'd rather be writing. I just started writing another Kit Melbourne book. This one is going to be a heist novel with plenty of action and adventure. I only have three hundred words written, but it has to start somewhere.

The thing that seems to help me most, when coming up with ideas, is walking. There's something about walking that jars ideas loose. In just a few weeks, we'll switch to Daylight Savings time and I'll be able to walk in the evenings as well. Growing up in Arizona, I never thought about such things. Except for the Navajo nation, Arizona doesn't change clocks; they've got plenty of daylight. But now I'm living in the land of four seasons, and I've just about had enough of winter. I can't wait to start planting my garden. Until then, I'll stay indoors by the fire and work on the next Kit Melbourne book.
