Her name was "come buy"
Not her real name though
but over the years, we had forgotten her real name.
This was many years ago...
we used to live in a face me - I face you house at Palace street, Woji, PH.
I grew up to always buy stuff from "come buy"
How on earth did we start calling a woman "come buy"?
So I was told that years ago, when she opened the shop
Anyone who passes by the shop must always hear her call their attention
"brother come buy oo!"
"sister come buy oo!"
This was how everyone got used to the name
"come buy"
She had gotten to the top of our minds
and was now the go-to store for snacks, bread, slippers, etc.
When mum wanted to send me somewhere
It was always "ga na nke come buy" (go to come buy's store)
That's the thing about getting attention
Just maybe...if she wasn't telling people to "come buy"
we would have been passing by to other stores.
But she knew how to get attention.
Money follows attention.
When I was in school, all my classmates called me bitcoin
lol....
That's because I made it obvious!!!
This is my hustle...it's what I do?
If someone wanted to learn bitcoin trading or buy bitcoin...
guess who they'll refer them to?
Me!
I see the way some people treat their social media handles
Yet they say they want to make money online.
How can you make any money online when you post once in 2 months?
Your social media pages be like Port Harcourt zoo wey only 5 animals dey inside.
Like I always say, customers won't come from heaven.
You have to find a way to bring them to you
else, you'll die poor!
