Much has happened since we released Behind Closed Doors, Imran Khan's party PTI has been partially dismantled, its supporters imprisoned and threatened. Imran Khan has been sentenced in 3 of the over 100 cases brought against him, including receiving a 7-year for a supposedly "illegal marriage" and a 10-year sentence for allegedly leaking a classified document which revealed that the US was undermining him and his government.
Over the past year more and more people, who were previously critical of Imran Khan, are no longer able to close their eyes to the brazen and unaccountable manner by which the Sharif government and Pakistan's institutions have pursued Imran Khan and his supporters. One person recently wrote to me "I have been following the news out of Pakistan with a mixture of amazement and resignation."
Pakistan is heading for a crucial election tomorrow, the 8th of February, with Imran Khan behind bars and the PTI facing ongoing attempts to undermine it, such as the removal of its party symbol, which I understand will make it difficult for voters to identify who the PTI candidate is.
If you have not yet seen Behind Closed Doors, you can view it for free on the below link.
