If you missed my last newsletter, you probably didn't know that I participated in a massive event with over 300 authors who gave their books for free from 1 to 5 days. My book was actually free for the amount of days allowed by Amazon and I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of downloads I got.

When I released Moonlight Beauty, Romantasy wasn't this trendy. Symbol covers weren't a thing. Even if it didn't do well, it doesn't compare to how well it has been doing for the past year.

Plus, if you have already read it, you know that Moonlight Beauty is much more than a retelling, it's a complete world with several of our beloved fairy tale princesses but with werewolves, vampires, fae, fairies, and an array of beloved characters that interact along the series.

Though I had thought about writing a fourth book based on Sleeping Beauty, it never truly came to fruition. I had the plot, I had the characters, I even had the cover, but I felt that it wouldn't do well so I put it on pause. It's still on pause, don't get me wrong. I have other books that I'm working on, but if this series picks up, maybe I can focus my energy and a few hours per month on plotting book 4 and writing it.

Meanwhile, I'm focusing my energy on building my new pen name and I have to tell you that I updated Chosen Mate twice this month! I'm on a roll.

It's a bit sad because I used to publish at least a new book every three months. Some people take longer to heal and I have to confess that I felt guilty for not having time to translate some of my books so my mother could read them. I thought I had more time. Now, I'm trying to survive and make enough money to pay my bills so writing isn't a priority.

I'm also better at stopping offering my time to people who don't deserve it--which isn't just work-related but also about some family members.
