As for writing updates, I have decided to organize myself and check the word count on all the books that are part of other series.
For example, Mermaid Blood, the sequel to Mermaid Queen is currently 22k but my goal is 30k which is more than the first book, but apparently, I have more to write about Mirella's sister and her mate.
His Fated One, book three of His Mate Series, is currently at 29k words out of 50k. So this one has still a bit to go, but the main ideas are done, I just need to have time to keep writing the rest of the chapters.
I also had planned a book four for Fairy Tales with a Bite, but after what happened with my last free promo, I'm not going to do it. Not sure why people enjoy tearing down authors like that, but, at this point, I'm done with that series. It was a mistake to even offer it for free. The amount of reviews that suddenly trashed the book from profiles that never reviewed any book before it's shocking. Book one has been edited by 4 different people, it has been extended from the first version which was around 40k to 62k. There are several new chapters and a lot of world-building and character development. Belle and Drake are one of my favorite couples. I'm sad they are getting so much hate.
Anyway, the next book I had planned to release was book 2 in the Fairy Tale Descendants. I actually finished the first draft, but I was tweaking it until I came up with a better end, I haven't had time to go over the story and make the necessary changes. Book 2 is called Prince of the Seas. The cover is stunning and it follows a twist on the Little Mermaid fairy tale. Yet this isn't a priority since I'm currently transferring my more YA stuff to another pen name.
And I know many of you started following me because of the Immortal Love Series. I'm currently thinking about rebranding it because I want to go wide with it. If you're wondering which couple was supposed to follow in book 7, then, I'll satisfy your curiosity by saying it would be Sebastien and his mate. I have started the story, but the complexity of everything and, mostly my lack of time to write it are huge deterrents. The story will be called Moonlight Kiss. It's currently at 4k words with a few more chapters written by hand, somewhere.
I was hoping to set a publishing date for some of these works in progress, but the amount of stress and anxiety that would give me would probably make me sick. I'm not doing well these past months. I'm constantly tired and in pain. I've started a new medication and that might be one of the reasons. Therefore I'm planning to take things easy and write what I want and feel to write when I have time.
