When you signed up, I promised not to spam you with emails, and I intend to keep my promise. I know we just had the March update (which was erroneously labeled February Update 🤦🏽‍♀️). I tried y'all. But, some things are happening, and I wanted you to be aware.

I have a secret

Since November of 2023, I've been quietly testing out a second pen name. Some of you may have figured out it was me, but others will be surprised. Under the name Midnight Locke, I've been writing the Kindle Vella series Sexy Scenarios.

It was a series of erotic short stories. The concept was to have each Kindle Vella episode be a standalone. So, the reader wouldn't have to worry if they'd missed part of the storyline. Each was a complete story within itself.

I'm sure you noticed. I'm speaking of it in the past tense. That's because I unpublished Sexy Scenarios after reviewing the changes Amazon plans to implement with Kindle Vella. With the new format, all episodes will be 10 tokens, which is great for the reader knowing how much they will spend on each one. However, for the authors, it raises the question of how we can be fair to ourselves. Since the Sexy Scenarios were complete shorts, they were minimum of 2500 words, which would normally be 25 tokens. It would mean accepting not being compensated for anything beyond 10 tokens.

The Good News

While I've unpublished Sexy Scenario from Kindle Vella, it will remain on my subscription services. It will be exclusive to those platforms for the foreseeable future. I plan to continue the current schedule of a new episode every other week. So, if you would like to continue to reading the installments, vote on future scenarios, and any expansion which may occur, you can find them there.
