You Heard It Here First!

Hey there!

Happy New Year! I hope this first newsletter of the new year finds you doing well. I know things are a bit rough with the ongoing pandemic, but I pray you are finding ways to nourish your mind, body and spirit.

Words can't accurately express how humbled I am by this author journey. My debut novel, For Real, has exceeded my expectations as a new, unknown author and I'm extremely thankful for your support. The one question I've been asked is, what's next? Well, as subscribers to my newsletter, you'll be the first to know.

That's right; you heard it here first. In the next couple of weeks, I'll make it known via my social media platforms, but you're the first to hear this news.

My next book is a novella and it is currently with the editor. If all goes according to plan, expect a February release. I'm so excited to introduce you to the next couple!

First, a little back story. The book was initially intended to be released in an anthology with some other authors. Each story in the anthology contained some aspect of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, be it athletes, coaches, etc. Well, we all know what happened with the Olympics in 2020. As a result, the anthology didn't come to fruition.

I decided I couldn't let this story go just because circumstances changed. So, I went back to it, and fleshed it out a bit more. The anthology criteria had a pretty low word count limit. Without the limit, I found I could give the story more depth. I took the time to do that and have completed a story I hope you will enjoy as much as you did For Real.

I made the conscious decision not to write the pandemic into the storyline. The story proceeds as if the pandemic never happened. In my fictional world, it didn't, so the Olympics took place in 2020 with its normal fan support.

Now... Without further ado. Allow me to introduce you to Kari Frost and Daisuke Sano the main characters in Sano's Queen. You might remember them being briefly mentioned in the Epilogue of For Real. Well, now you'll see them up close and personal. I love them to pieces and I hope you will too!
