Greetings,

The 2021 College Disc Golf National Championship will be April 7-10, 2021. Plan to bring your two person teams to Rock Hill, SC to compete for the National Championship. In addition to the event dates and location, we are reaching out to open up communication about qualifying bids and the season schedule for this season.

As a reminder; there is no requirement for Conference participation and College Disc Golf membership fees have been waived for this season. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, we made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Championship and delay the start of the 2020-2021 Season. We apologize for the delay in our season when other disc golf events seem to be going full steam ahead. However, we are at the mercy of school funding and travel policies that would've excluded a significant percentage of our field from participating in events in the Fall.

We held out hope for opening back up competition in the Spring semester but we have to face the reality of our current situation. Not all of our student athletes are on campus and travel is being severely hindered for this season. With team members potentially spread out all across the US, and a lack of funding, our best chance for hosting a fairly represented field is to require teams to only travel once this year. After reviewing in person class policies and the lack of school funding for travel, we have decided not to award qualifying bids to the 2021 CDGNC. A 72 team field will open for registration on a first come, first serve basis February 1st, at 8 pm.

Even without bids, events will still go on. Teams with the ability to travel will have opportunities to compete in events near you. The season schedule is coming soon!

If there are any questions, comments, or concerns please let us know.

Thank you,

John Baker
