Thank you for volunteering your feedback and ideas!

Dear ,

Thank you for offering to be in my focus group! I am appreciating hearing your thoughts as they come in. The best writing is a connection and conversation between author and reader, and I value your part in this conversation so much.

So first of all:

If you haven't had a chance to download your copy of The White Deer of Kildare, check to find an email from BookFunnel. The landing page is closed, but you should have an email.

If you haven't had a chance to fill out the first survey, here it is.

Mood & Vibes Survey

If you want to go straight to the cover survey, here you go!

Cover Survey

One small response from the first survey...

(and will make it easier if you're still filling it out!)

Several people have suggested that the word "tunica" is a typo, but that is the correct word in this time period. A tunica is the undergarment, unlike a tunic.

However, later in the same paragraph, there is a typo on "next to my skim" instead of skin. Whoops! But we've caught that one now.

And one amazing story...

You might remember that my first email mentioned the name of the library in the city where I grew up. One of the members of this group responded and said she lived in Anchorage too, and after several emails back and forth, it turned out that we lived on the exact same block. We probably walked past each other's houses all the time!

In this world with so much conflict, hurtfulness, and fear, a human connection like this has given me a little sparkle of happiness. Here it is decades later, and we have connected around two shared experiences. It's incredible!

Thank you again, for reading this email and taking the time to fill out the surveys!

Here are some puppy pictures from this month, and one of my recent stitching projects. My stitching, sadly, is not magical, but I hope it does add beauty to the world.

There is ice on that pond, and the dogs are veeeery curious how it works! The boy is throwing the stick, and the dogs threw themselves. Conclusion: the ice was 95% of a Sheltie-weight thick.

Best wishes,

Christy
