Howdy Folks,

First, I apologize to anybody who might be offended by the idea of fund raising. Please ignore this. This message is for people who want to support what we are trying to do. If you're on this list, you know.

Let me start by saying thank you to everybody who has participated in growing this network! I feel like it is a very unique and special resource which has somehow maintained a culture of respect and avoided any hint of chaos normally associated with wide open groups like this. Thank you to the leaders, thank you to the speakers, and thank you most of all to of the people asking the questions that everybody wants to hear answers to! We have grown to 1525 members! That's crazy. Obviously there is an appetite for what were doing. I think we can do more.

We have had an amazing run of sessions. Great topics. Great content. Amazing guests. I have been completely blown away by the things we have accomplished. We have a Zoom account which gets more expensive as we add attendees. We have this mailing list where people can easily opt out if they want to. We have a Telegram channel with many active discussions. We run a Mastodon instance which is basically like Twitter but without the privacy problems. We have CSP cloud accounts which are being used by teams who are learning cloud skills. We have projects running now where people are getting real world, international team experience on cloud projects. How cool is that?

We have had some really great donations this past year, and we don't spend any time at all seeking donations. But we'd like to increase our impact and we're hoping for some support.
