The fear of the unknown has created an addiction to predictions, clairvoyance and any other way to somehow get a glimmer of what is ahead so we can prepare and or control. And yet at every turn during this journey of awakening to our authentic self and an expanded awareness of how life works we are encouraged to let go, surrender, trust, and most importantly live in the present. At some level we know there is only now and yet much time is spent in the past or the illusive future. Today I share this very old song that says it very clearly. Let go for what will be will be. Whether you’re a student, an administrator, a farmer—or the journalists getting their teeth into the story of Kentucky schools’ movement to buy and serve local produce, the consensus is clear: the fajitas are great.
At Boyle County High School, locally-raised beef marinated in cumin is heaped onto corn tortillas with queso, guacamole, sharp red tomatoes, and vibrant lettuce.
It’s just one of many meals the teens at Boyle get to enjoy, and a far cry from the days of fruit cups, pan pizza, and skim milk, days which everyone involved are happy to see gone.
