Indomitable
In that gloaming, moribund space
between
worlds
in the waxing, erubescent light
of a new dawn —
a new day —
the magical morning mist
whirling and wreathing
about my feet —
stand
between heaven and earth—
firm and resolute
as the ancient oak upon the high hill
as the island upon the lake
as the mountain upon the moor
as the stars —
shining bright and clear —
luminous —
iridescent —
in the vast welkin of the heavens —
a child of the Living Soil
a child of the Infinite Light
beloved of the Ancestors —
still sword at rest in the hand —
calm, relaxed and natural —
unified, balanced and harmonious —
scanning the fiery, effulgent horizon
eyes as bright, clear and keen as the hawk
soaring in lazy little circles
high overhead —
