Your weekly money saving deals and news from money expert Andy Webb
My top content this week
BLOG: The best of 2020
2020 has been a record-breaking year for views on Be Clever With Your Cash (thank you!), and also my most productive with more than 300 articles, videos and podcasts published (I had a bit more free time for some reason...).
Obviously even the most ardent of you won't have been able to consume all of the content so here's a quick round-up of the most popular ones .
BLOG: Spend less by using what you've already got
With pretty much all of the UK under strict lockdown rules, January is the perfect time to make use of the things you've got already (but perhaps forgotten about) rather than buy brand new. Here are a few tips to help.
YOUTUBE: Monzo savings tricks
This video looks at how Monzo customers can use a service called IFTTT (If This Then That) to automate the transfer of money to separate savings pots.
There are ones you can copy, such as popular savings challenges, or you can set up your own, such as moving money each time you visit a certain place.
YOUTUBE: The best money making apps
I've brought together some of my YouTuber friends from my UK Money Bloggers community to share some of our favourite money making apps. We've also collaborated on videos looking at setting goals and budgeting.
PODCAST: Cash Chats #156: The Brexit trade deal and your money
This week on the podcast, I'm looking at how the trade deal could affect the prices you pay for things like food & drink, travel insurance and mobile data.
You can listen via all the normal podcasting routes or over on the blog.

The top deals this week
I only share deals and special offers on the blog which I think are really good value. Click the titles or links for more information.
I've also set up an extra Instagram account dedicated to the deals and offers I spot throughout the week. Do follow me there so you don't miss out on offers that are already finished by the time this email goes out on a Thursday.
1. Free postcode competition
The Pick My Postcode site is worth signing up for if you've got a minute each day to see if you've won. As the name suggests, winners are determined by postcodes. Prizes can be as high as £200.
It's free to enter as it's all funded by advertising so there's no risk of losing money by entering. More here.
2. Extra Christmas grub clearances
Today isn't a bad day to pop to the supermarket as many have cut prices again on festive food such as mince pies, Christmas puds and chocolates.
There's no link to read more for this one as what you'll get depends where you are and what stock left.
3. LAST CHANCE: £20 back at PayPal
This offer to get £20 back if you spend £90 at shops such as Waterstones and ASOS ends today.
4. LAST CHANCE: Stamp price increase 1st Jan
If you think you'll use stamps anytime soon then it's worth buying them today before the price hike tomorrow. Also, don't forget not every shop charges the standard rate - here's where to buy and how much they should cost.
5. LAST CHANCE: Win a one-hour video chat with me
To celebrate 200,000 all-time downloads of the podcast (thank you!) I'm running a competition to win a one-hour video or phone call with me to go through your money questions!
This literally is a prize money cannot buy! All the details on how to enter can be found here. Ends 11.59pm tonight - 31st December 2020.
