Does bank switching affect your credit score?
With all the different bank switching deals available at the moment I'm sure some of you are trying to get two or even three of the offers before they end.
And that's understandably had some of you ask me the impact on your credit score? Here's what you need to know.
My Nectar Prices – will you save money?
There's a new discount scheme at Sainsbury's for Nectar card holders, promising up to 30% off items you regularly buy and savings of £200 a year. I've taken a look at how it works (and when it doesn't) and analysed whether you really will save that much cash.
Plus details of how it's replacing the Double Up scheme - yes that's right, you won't be able to boost your Nectar points in 2021.
The Marriage Allowance tax break explained
If you're in a civil partnership or marriage and one if you is a low earner, then this tax break could save you £252 this year - and if you are eligible to back date it the payments could be more than £1,200. Here's how it works and how to claim.

THIS WEEK'S TOP DEALS
I only share deals and special offers on the blog which I think are really good value. Click the titles or links for more information.
I'll also share a quick update on Instagram on Saturday morning.
1. James Bond: The best ways to save
Reviews are fantastic for the last Daniel Craig Bond movie - No Time To Die - out today. Cinemas are obviously hoping to get people back to the big screen, and I've spotted prices increasing as a result.
But there are a number of ways to get cheap cinema tickets. I've actually nabbed a free Odeon ticket via O2 for a screening next Monday, and there are also ways to save at Cineworld, Vue and more.
You can get more details on all the offers here but my top picks include:
- 50% off your first month of Cineworld Unlimited
- Two Odeon tickets for £10
- 1 Vue ticket and Asda pizza for £5
2. Three: 12GB SIM for £5.50 a month
Thursday is your last chance to sign up to Three and keep hold of free European and (some) worldwide roaming. This SIM is also a great deal via cashback sites. More here.
3. The Entertainer: £10 or £20 off
Save on toys at The Entertainer this weekend. It's £10 off £60 and £20 off £100. More here.
4. Wills: Free & cheap wills months
October is Free Wills Month for the over 55s, while everyone else can book now for Will Aid in November, providing a simple will in exchange for a charitable donation. More here.
5. Students: The best discounts
With term now underway at most Universities, here's my rundown of the top student discounts, including free AirPods with MacBooks and half-price Amazon Prime. More here.
6. Sky Sports: £25 a month for three months
These deals come around every month or so and though not as good as the occasional £20 a month deal it still saves you £8 a month. More here.
