Be a seat filler and get cheap tickets
Though some might be cautious about going out right now, it's a good opportunity for others to get very cheap tickets to theatre, film, music and more.
It's thanks to services which offer "seat-filling", essentially ensuring there are bums on seats for each performance. Here's how it works and where to look for tickets.
Gift cards: Should you ever use or buy them?
We're in peak gift card season! Whether you're asking for one for Christmas or whether you're buying one, I want you to be aware of the risks involved compared to giving cash.
Plus I share my top places to find discounted gift cards for personal use.

THIS WEEK'S TOP DEALS
I only share deals and special offers on the blog which I think are really good value. Click the titles or links for more information.
I'll also share a quick update on Instagram on Saturday morning.
1. Halifax: £125 switch ends
It's your last chance (for now) to get this switching bonus from Halifax. YOu'll get £125, and if you open a new Reward current account you'll also get £5 a month (as long as you meet the conditions).
It's also possible for existing Halifax customers to get the cash! More here.
2. Amazon Echo Dot: Two for £30
This older version of the Echo Dot is often reduced to around £20, but Currys and John Lewis are both selling two for £30. A good option if you want a couple more around the house. Here's more on the offer.
3. Savings: Up to £50 bonuses at Raisin
I've written before about how new users of savings marketplace Raisin can get a £50 bonus (if they save £10k for 6 months).
Well, existing customers can also get £10 when they save £5,000 for 6 months in a new account. And you can do this five times. Here's how both offers work.
4. B&Q: 20% off everything
A great time to pick up any DIY essentials with a code that works on everything. Here's more.
5. Beer52: 10 beers for £10
Anyone who's already had the free Beer52 trial should take a look at this deal which restarts a subscription - though you can of course cancel before that happens. More here.
6. Odeon: Free ticket every week via O2
If you have O2 or Virgin Media (or use the £10 SIM hack), then make sure you take advantage of a free Odeon ticket every week, a change from the previous once-a-month offer.
I'm off to see West Side Story on Monday, and hopefully Spider-man the week after. More here.
7. Wine & Baileys: 25% off six or more / £9.50 for 1litre
Asda, Sainsbury's and Tesco are all offering the multibuy wine deal ahead of Christmas, while Tesco is also offering a litre of Baileys for under a tenner. Here's more.
8. Sky Sports: £14.99 a month on NOW for some
This won't work for everyone, but if you have a NOW account and don't currently have Sky Sports passes on there, look in the personalised offers section. There could be three months of Sky Sports for £14.99 a month. Here's more.
