Hi ,
You've probably noticed that I don't do themes on the weekly 5 Things. Sometimes a couple of things come up in a week that are loosely related, usually by chance.
Every day I'm reading or watching or listening to many things and I save to a Keep note what strongly resonates or that I feel joy from learning or knocks my socks off. However, not everything I save holds up when I review it for inclusion in this newsletter.
While I do read a lot of marketing content, it's usually more appropriate for me to share with clients and the Marketing Trailblazers Community.
Onward. The most clicked from last week is at the end of this week's list.

And, now, 5 Things for you to read and watch...
1) Have you traveled in Japan? This article piqued my interested in exploring the country: This Japanese Shop Is 1,020 Years Old. It Knows a Bit About Surviving Crises...
2) This is a hot topic for travelers and I know there are a few out you out there... Travel Insurance During Coronavirus Pandemic: What To Know
3) I recently started reading the new release of Joseph Goldstein's 1976 book, The Experience of Insight: A Simple and Direct Guide to Buddhist Meditation. That lead me to the website for the Insight Meditation Society of which Goldstein is a co-founder and where I discovered a 30 Day Meditation Challenge based on the book, starting on January 1, so I joined it. It's free.
4) A few nights ago, after watching something on PBS, NOVA came on so I continued watching. It was a new program, Saving Notre Dame and was outstanding. Do you remember when it burned? That was shocking to see. Architects, archeologists and crafts people are working around the clock to restore the cathedral. It's over 800 years old and they are discovering and doing their best to replicate how it was built and use the same materials that were originally found in the areas around Paris. It will probably be decades before restoration is complete.
5) This article has an argument against one I shared a couple of weeks ago about to-do lists: The Case Against To-Do Lists (and What to Use Instead).
Where do you land on this topic?
And finally, if you're curious, the Most Clicked Link last week was...
Which of these 6 time traps is eating up all your time?
Your turn...what have you watched or read this week that fascinated you? Reply and let me know!
Wishing you a safe and happy weekend,
