Hi ,

Time. It's already the middle of January. There's hope for better days ahead and already 2021 is proving to be providing new opportunities. I hope you're safely weathering the literal and figurative storms of winter.

Meditating a couple of times a day and focusing on what is in my control helps me remain calm and focused. What are your go-to tips for staying on track?

And, now, 5 Things for you to read and watch...

1) Have you joined Clubhouse, the new audio-only social network? Seems it's the "it" platform right now with people clamoring to get invitations to join from those already in. Currently, the app is only available for iPhone users so I can't give you my take on it. I'm fine to wait; I have other things to focus on. This article provides a bit of info if you're curious: On Clubhouse, the Invite-Only Chatroom App, “A Beautiful Mess” Awaits

2) I got a degree in Art History at U.C. Santa Cruz and one of the classic books to have in one's library was The Lives of the Artists by Giorgio Vasari. He's considered "the father of art history, the inventor of artistic biography, and the author of “the Bible of the Italian Renaissance”." Which is why this Smarty Pants podcast jumped out at me while scrolling through headlines: The Father of Art History

3) This productivity tool showed up in an email this week. A simple countdown app you can use when you want to focus for a period of time. Eggtimer is a simple countdown app. Need to get some work done? Set it for 15 minutes, or Pomodoro (25 minutes of focus; 5-minute break).

4) I was doing research on natural toothpaste and ended up on the Tom's of Maine website. This article caught my eye with excellent tips for boosting your mood with natural dopamine hits. The last tip is my fave. How to Increase Dopamine Naturally

5) These photos and video have been making the rounds on the Web. Being a cat lover, I can't resist watching these bobcats watch the drone. Photographer’s Drone Captures Three Bobcats Hanging Out
