We'll see you Saturday, ,

as we rally and march to demand our elected representatives in Washington DC and in the CSRA honor the oath they took to defend the Constitution by pursuing the impeachment, conviction, and removal of Donald Trump from the office of the Presidency.

On Saturday, February 28, we rally in the IBEW Local 1579 parking lot and then march the sidewalks across the river to the Municipal Building in North Augusta and back. We will also have in attendance representatives from local organizations and politicians running for local elections. Mingle, meet other like-minded patriots, and learn about the ways to shape the future in the CSRA!

Sign up on Mobilize for more details!

  • The march is approximately 0.7 miles one way, approximately 1.4 miles round-trip. Wear comfy shoes, and dress for weather!
  • If you're unsure about your ability to walk the distance, some folks will be sign-waving in place at the IBEW Local 1579 and meeting other local organizations to find their niche. We'd love for you to join us there instead!

IBEW Local 1579 Parking Lot

1260 Reynolds Street

Augusta, GA 30901

Please note the only parking available directly in the IBEW parking lot will be for those who need ADA spaces and for organizers who are unloading for setup.

COMMUNITY SUPPORT

This action's organization of focus is the Unitarian Universalist Church of Augusta. The UU of Augusta has done and continues to do so much for the activist and mutual aid organizations in our area, offering a gathering place and consistent support through which our community and grassroot resources become more connected and resilient. Let's return their meaningful commitment to an open-armed community and donate what we can towards keeping their doors open and their congregation active!

VOLUNTEER AT THE MARCH

Organizing action takes time and effort, and it gets easier with each new person that steps up to help. We're looking for volunteers in these areas for the march.

  • Marshal. As a marshal, you'll maintain the peace and step in to deescalate if situations are becoming heated. Your priority is safety. Prior deescalation training is a plus.
  • Medic. As a medic, you'll monitor participant wellness and respond to health concerns. Prior first aid or medical training is preferred.
  • Crossing Guard. As a crossing guard, you'll ensure marchers stay on the sidewalks and help to keep street crossings orderly.
  • Tabler. Augusta 50501 will be running a few tables at the rally, offering local resources, providing water, building whistle kits, and more. As a tabler, you'll help people understand what they're looking at and get them started.
