Hello ,

Thank you for staying tuned to volunteer with the fall festival fundraiser we're planning to support our local Espinoza family and hopefully reunite them in Guadalajara. We have moved the fundraiser date from 10/15 to Wednesday 10/29! Due to a death in one of the event organizer's family, we are adjusting as we go and will have full festival details for you as soon as we can. Thank you for bearing with us.

As some of you know, Brian was detained and deported to Mexico primarily because the family couldn't afford the cost of renewing his DACA. He suffered inhumane conditions at the ICE center in Folkston and has now been displaced to Guadalajara. Tony plans to relocate with him so they can continue their lives together, but moving internationally is very expensive. They'll need funds for travel, copies of identifying documents, new legal documentation, and a new home.

Our new date for the fall fundraiser for the Espinozas is Wednesday 10/29 from 6-8 PM, and we'll need as many volunteers as we can get to pull off a great event, including greeters to orient the attendees, monitors for the bake sale and silent auction, costumed participants for a ghost walk, and supervisors for other kids' activities. Not only will you make a direct impact for our Augusta and 50501 communities, you'll have a ton of fun! Mark your calendars and tell a friend - more details to come!

Do you have friends that want to join the resistance? Send them this email! It's going to take all hands on deck to create a better world for us all.
